Our Top Christian Board Book Recommendations

Perhaps you are like me when it comes to reading board books to your babies or toddlers. I am a very picky board book reader. My favorite Christian board books are those that meet the following criteria:

  1. Has well-written text that uses sentences or rhymes to tell a good story. (i.e., not single words on a page or sentences that don’t flow together; nor just a bunch of facts thrown together).
  2. Has beautifully crafted illustrations that are engaging for both child and adult.
  3. Is theologically sound. (no fluff; no putting words into God’s mouth; no silly applications; not moralistic, etc.)
  4. The parent doesn’t mind reading and re-reading the story to their kids. Board books are short, and kids often want to read them over and over, so as a parent, it helps if I enjoy them as well.
