Book Review: The Siamese Kittens and the Bread Crumbs, The Siamese Kittens and the Snow Leopard, and The Siamese Kittens and the Christmas Hedgehog by Michael A.G. Haykin
Reformation Lightning, 2023
46-47 pages

When I was a student at Heritage College & Seminary in Cambridge, I had a delightful church history professor who was the first teacher that brought church history to life. I had thoroughly disliked my college class on the subject, but Dr. Michael A.G. Haykin made it personable and meaningful and passed on his love for church history.
So needless to say, I was so thrilled to find out that he was writing some children’s books! These have nothing to do with church history, in fact, they aren’t even about theology. The Siamese Kittens series contain three heart-warming tales about kittens who are learning about hospitality, fear, and what to do when things don’t go according to plan.

Reformation Lightning has made lovely books that fill a gap in children’s books. It’s often challenging to find early chapter books that both parent and child enjoy reading together. Each book in the series has lovely illustrations by Christ Iliff on almost every page, creating a delightful reading experience.

I hav a six year old, and she requested these books every night! The only thing we were unsure about was the order in which to read this series. We started with The Siamese Kittens and the Breadcrumbs followed by the Snow Leopard and the Christmas Hedgehog, but these books are fine to read as stand-alone books, as well.
So if you are looking for some sort chapter books for a new blossoming reader, or perhaps even a stocking stuffer, then check out The Siamese Kittens!

The publisher sent me these books in exchange for an honest review.
