Book Review: God Speaks to Me by Kristen Wetherell
Crossway, 2023
Board book

While toddlers may not be able to recall theological terminology, they are able to understand the ideas behind them! For example, in God Speaks to Me, Wetherell concisely shares with young kids about divine and general revelation, and in poetic verse, too! While she doesn’t use those terms, she does a great job at communicating these ideas in a way that young ones can clearly understand!

Wetherell teaches how God speaks to us through creation as well as his written Word. She also shares what God’s Word does and how Jesus was the Word who became flesh so we could know God!
The rhyming sometimes feels forced, but this board book is enjoyable and easy to follow along! Parents won’t mind reading and re-reading this book to their little kids! While God Speaks to Me is written for kids ages 0 – 4, even my six-year-old enjoyed listening along.
Overall, the For the Bible Tells Me So series is a wonderful and fun way to introduce theology to young kids!

I received this book from Crossway in exchange for an honest review.
