My son and I read How Can I Feel Closer to God? during the summer. Every single book in the Big Questions series has been phenomenal and Chris Morphew does such a great job at giving good and honest answers to questions that my preteen, and often even myself, are asking!

Why does going to church or praying, things that are good, often feel so hard, boring, and pointless? What is our relationship with Jesus supposed to look like? How can we actually looking forward to time spent in the Word?

Chris Morphew is always so charitable and walks us through some really great questions about our friendship with God. He doesn’t just give cliche answers but gives thoughtful and biblical responses along with helpful and practical tips that are rooted in grace. This is not a book that either child or parent will come away from this book feeling guilty or patronized, but actually encouraged to press on in their Christian walk with a greater desire to get to know God and his people!

This is a great little book for older children who feel like they are in a rut or are ready to grow more in their relationship with God.
