Part of the AmblesideOnline curriculum is reading through Richard Halliburton’s The Complete Book of Marvels, which contains The Occident and The Orient. I put together these printable bookmarks to supplement our Year 5 geography readings.
Each bookmark highlights major locations from each chapter so that we can remember what places we need to look up on our map.
I also wanted easdy access to modern-day photos and videos of each geographical site from the Book of Marvels. So I included a QR code on each bookmark, that leads to different website links (not my own) quickly on a phone or tablet.
While skimming through Halliburton’s book, I was really impressed at all the locations we would be covering this next year, and look forward to learning about them as we go.
